Sarah Schutz

 I am a 6th year Ph.D. candidate in Healthcare Management and Economics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. I am an Associate Fellow of the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. I am also an ORISE Fellow for the Office of Health Policy in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

My main areas of interest include pharmaceutical prices and innovation, healthcare advertising, healthcare competition, and surprise medical billing.

Before joining Penn, I received my bachelor's degree in Economics and Statistics at Barnard College.
